How to Start a New Year Fresh
Another new year and another chance to start fresh
A new year means a new start. Another chance for a new life. A brand new start. A beginning. Whatever was left last year, complete them. Live for the moment and if you cannot put them into words just live through it. If you are blessed to have another year to live just do all those things you are longing to do for a long time. You never know, today this time you are young, you are in your twenty’s, the next day you are seventy and regretting all the things you couldn’t do when you were young. Don’t stop your growth for someone else or for anything, don’t miss out on your dreams. Live them. You deserve it…
Today I will tell you about some tips I have been following for the last couple of years and those have changed my life a lot but in a good way:
1. Celebrate New Years Eve:
First of all, go enjoy your new years eve properly. If you are heartbroken or hurt or whatever it is, that is bothering you. Just try to overcome it and celebrate your new years with your friends or family or with your partner, whoever you like to celebrate with.
Or just go alone, see the fireworks. I always get inspired by fireworks. How they just burn themselves to make us happy. That is really something to me. I know that’s a bit childish but who says being childish is wrong. Whatever helps you to be your best version.
Sometimes going out and doing something you don’t do usually takes your mind off from things you don’t wanna think about.
2. Make a Mood Board:
Now that you had a great new years eve, you will be a bit more cheerful and focused than the usual, in the next day. So, start your new years 1st day with making a mood board or a goal board. Where you will write those things you want to do or accomplish throughout the year.
It could be anything, easy simple things or some goals you might wanna chase this year, but obviously some realistic goals. Such as:
♦ Get yourself a pet, get a make over, eat healthy, make new friends etc
♦ travel one or two new places, go back to college, getting a hobby etc
♦ celebrate some festivals you didn’t before, amend your bonds with those who you really wanted in your life
This board will give you a visual reference. Also, it will give you new ideas to accomplish every month throughout the year.
3. Change Appearances:
Old haircut, old hair color, old clothes, old looks, and style make you feel like nothing has changed this year. So, do something to pamper yourself. It could be anything, simplest as getting a new haircut to getting a fresh coat of nail polish. Anything that will make you feel confident.
Appearances matter to boost your confidence. Go on a shopping spree in your budget, try new hair color, wear bold color lipstick, go to the gym, lose weight or gain some as your preference. Start to take care of your skin, hair, nails etc. In short, just take care of yourself.
4. Adapt Positive Attitudes:
Change your attitude towards everything. Change your usual point of view, the way of seeing things. If you are already a nice person, try to be a nicer one. Leave your toxic and unhealthy behavior. Be more kind to others. Join some charity groups and organizations.
Everything you see, you feel, you do have a negative and a positive side. Before you look for the negative ones, look for the positive ones. Bring some positivity in your life.
Behave well with others. Help them in needs. Do kind gestures to make others happy. Trust me honey that will give you peace and happiness all at the same time.
5. Give effort to your Work and Study:
If you work, update your resume, for new opportunities to come. If you love your job then work harder to get there, where you always dreamed of. You want to start a new business, go for it, take some risk, which you can afford.
If you are still studying or want to go back to college, do it, study hard to achieve what you want. Make a goal board for your studies too, if you need to be more focused. Try to accomplish those goals.
In life, your success speaks louder than anything. So, give your carrier the best you can give.
6. Travel new Places:
Traveling change your surroundings for a short period of time to give you new experiences than your usual daily life. To travel you don’t need to spend a lot of money. Go somewhere you can afford. It can be anywhere.
From your country to abroad. Whichever is suitable for you.
Every year try to go at least one or two new places to explore. To know other cultures, their lifestyle, their foods, clothes, people everything. These experiences will help you in life to grow and learn.
7. Spend more Family Time:
In life, our family and friends are the most precious things we have. Cherish them always, make time for them, understand their importance in our lives, help them when they need you.
To get peace in life, having a good relationship between you and your close ones is a very important part. You need them in every aspect of your life. Your family and friends are your mental strength, you cannot be fully you without them.
8. Try new Hobbies:
Every year you can try some new hobbies to learn new things. To increase your basic knowledge. You can learn new languages, you can join cooking classes, or dance classes, you can also start gardening etc.
Hobbies help you to know your capability in new things and also its fun to do.
Lastly, I want to tell you all, that no matter what happens to you or not. You can always start fresh. If you are alive and want to change your life for better, you can. You can do anything and you can be anything. Just trust yourself that you will. Have faith in God. Be strong and be the best version of yourself. You will achieve everything honey.
